Kings Canyon Hike
The Park entrance is above 7000 ft. Drove to the end of Hwy 180 in Kings Canyon National Park, 6/14/2003. Hiked up the Kings River another 4.6 miles to Mist Falls, 5800 ft. The hike has a rise of about 600 ft, and takes about 4 hours, round trip. The mosquitoes at the falls loved my sun screen.
On the way out, stopped at the sequoia grove near the park entrance.
