Kansas High Point Hike
Highpoint 2. KANSAS, Mt. Sunflower, 4039 ft, 9/1/02.
Used Zumwalt's book for guidance.
Drove to it. Gravel roads. BIG, curious cows nearby. Very peaceful, with gentle breeze from the southwest. Small picnic area. No gates, just cattle guards.
There are no rest rooms.
Noticed no benchmarks. Nearest benchmark is approximately 1.2 miles away on the Colorado state line.
