There are rest rooms at the drive-up trail head.

While Asheville motel rooms were completely full because of visitors looking for fall leave color, I encountered no traffic on the Blue Ridge Parkway, at 7 am. Noticed 5 cars at the first vista, so I stopped. Everyone was waiting to see the sunrise, which occurred at 7:45 this day.

It was foggy on top. I'm sure the fog burned off later in the day. I did not wait, because I wanted to summit Kentucky yet today.
