Oklahoma High Point Hike
Highpoint 3. OKLAHOMA, Black Mesa, 4973 ft, 9/1/02.
Used Zumwalt's book for guidance. Hiked over 8 miles round trip. Took me 3 hours and 20 minutes on a hot day. Heard a coyote on the way back to the parking area.
There are no rest rooms at the trail head or the summit.
The nearest benchmarks are 0.4 milea away in New Mexico and are higher than this point.
