Vermont High Point Hike
Highpoint 23. Vermont, Mt. Mansfield, 4393 ft, 9/3/03
We stayed the night before at Waterbury, VT., and visited Ben and Jerry's. They have a nice tour. Don't miss the 'dead flavors' graveyard.
Drove up to the trailhead. Hiked to the summit on the 'Long Trail', passing 'Profanity Trail' on the way. During the hike, the clouds came in over the saddle, but the summit remained above the clouds.
